CIL to increase, outsource drilling

Orissa set to get 2 more UMPPs

April 14, 2009: The Centre plans to set up two new ultra mega power plants (UMPPs) in Orissa. Those projects are proposed to come up closer to the sea and will have a generating capacity of 4,000-MW each. The state will get 50 percent of the power generated from the two new UMPPs.
