The fate of the much talked-about Tori-Shivpur-Kathotia railway line, one of the three major projects that have been put on fast tract by the government, appears to be uncertain as the government is yet to fix a timeline for it.
The Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha, in a written reply in Parliament, recently said the timeline for completion of the project has not been fixed.
“Timeline for completion of the Tori-Shivpur-Kathotia railway line project has not been fixed due to uncertainty in acquisition of land and forestry clearances,” he said.
This line, when constructed, will be mainly utilised for coal movement, the minister added.
