2 Eastern Railway units put up better show in FY15

May 8: Two Eastern Railway (ER) workshops, in Jharkhand and Bengal surpassed their respective targets in terms of periodical overhauling and other sectors in FY15, ER said in two separate statements.
According to the ER statement, the company’s Jamalpur workshop achieved a periodical overhauling (POH) of 5,221 units of wagons in FY15. The Loco POH outturn was at 81 units during FY15 against a target of 78 units during the fiscal. Production of Jamalpur jacks-high capacity synchronised electrical jacks-stood at 153 units during the fiscal against a target of 150 units for the fiscal.
At the Liluah workshop, out-turn of overhauled coaches stood at 2,581 units during the fiscal under review. During FY15, periodical overhauling of AC coaches and LHB coaches stood at 157 units and 404 units respectively.
