5 cos submit bids for APGENCO’s solar project

December 1: Altogether, five Indian companies have submitted technical bids for Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation’s (APGENCO’s) 500-MW grid connected solar PV power project, informed sources told ICMW.
The names of the interested parties were not immediately available.
Sources said that the price bids for the tender will be opened in December and the contract may be awarded within the next two months.
As per the tender document, the solar PV project will be awarded to multiple bidders in single/multiple blocks of 100 MW each.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, testing at manufacturers’ works, storage at site, erection, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance for five years.
The project would be set up on EPC basis.
Earlier, the state government had accorded permission to APGENCO to set up solar power projects at various thermal and hydel project sites.
