APGENCO’s Aug coal imports down 38.25% m-o-m

September 18: Imports of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during August 2014 stood at 155,000 tons against 251,000 tons reported for July, down 38.25% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The utility showed 62% materialization for the month since its import target for August 2014 was 250,000 tons.
The total receipts of imported coal by APGENCO during the first five months of 2014-15 stood at 966,000 tons, up 55.81% compared to 620,000 tons received during the corresponding period of 2013-14, the data revealed.
The import target of the utility over April, May and June, 2014 stood at 250,000 tons each, which means the target was missed in all those three months.
