APGENCO’s June coal imports up 45.16%

July 17: Imports of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during June 2014 stood at 225,000 tons, up 45.16% from 155,000 tons in May, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The import target of the utility in April, May and June all stood at 250,000 tons each, which means the target was missed in all the three months.
Total imports by the utility during the first three months of 2014-15 stood at 561,000 tons, marginally up against 354,000 tons imported during the corresponding period of 2013-14.
