APGENCO’s May coal imports down 14.36%

June 16: The import of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during May 2014 stood at 155,000 tons, down 14.36% from revised imports of 181,000 tons in April, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The import target of the utility in both April and May was 250,000 tons each, which means the target was missed in both the months.
With the revision in April 2014 imports and provisional import in May, the total import by the utility during the first two months of 2014-15 stood at 336,000 tons, up marginally against 310,000 tons imported during the corresponding period of 2013-14.
