APNRL plans 1,320-MW thermal units in Bihar, Chhattisgarh

May 13: Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited (APNRL), a subsidiary of steel player Adhunik Metaliks Limited (AML), has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for implementation of a 1,320-MW thermal power plant each with the Chhattisgarh and Bihar governments.
The company is putting in place an internal team with vast experience in power plant construction to ensure proper planning, co-ordination and timely completion of the projects.
"Plans are firmly in place to set up power plants, each of 1,320 MW capacity (2x660), at Champa in Chhattisgarh and Kahelgaon in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar," AML Managing Director Manoj Kumar Agarwal told ICMW.
The Jharkhand project is likely to be operational by 2015.
