Ajay Shukla new Member (Traffic) of Railway Board

February 05: Ajay Shukla has taken the charge as the new Member (Traffic) of Railway Board with effect from February 4 in addition to his own duties as Additional Member (Commercial), an official release said.

Shukla is a senior officer of 1979 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service.  He has rich and varied experience of working on several important posts in the Indian Railways, like Chief Passenger Traffic Manager and Chief Safety Officer, Northern Railway; Divisional Railway Manager, Dhanbad, East Central Railway; Chief Operations Manager, North Western Railway and South East Central Railway; Additional General Manager, East Central Railway.

Shukla did his graduation in science and post-graduation in history from Lucknow University.

He has written and published more than 100 articles in various magazines and newspapers during college/university period (1973-78).
