Pet coke imports via Vizag decrease 55.58% m-o-m in Feb

March 12: Pet coke imports through the port of Vizag showed a substantial drop of 55.58% to 25,661 tons in February 2014 against 57,773 tons reported in January, according to provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, imports of PCI coal in the first 11 months of 2013-14 stood at 848,058 tons against 601,484 tons recorded during the corresponding period of 2012-13.
Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Vizag Port in 2012-13 & 2013-14:

In February, all the pet coke import consignments arrived from China in a price range of Rs 10,432- Rs 25,821 ($168-$410) per ton.
In January 2014, 32,991 tons arrived from Kuwait at a unit price of Rs 13,549 ($218) while 24,782 tons came in from China in a range of Rs 15,160 – Rs 11,322 ($243-$182) per ton.
