Anthracite coal imports via Mundra sharply up in June m-o-m

July 18: Anthracite coal imports via Mundra Port stood at 2,020 tons during June 2014, up sharply compared to 138 tons imported in May, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the corresponding month of the previous year, anthracite coal imports via the port stood at nil.

In June 2014, 483 tons came in from Russia at a price of Rs 10,210 ($170) per ton while the rest of 1,537 tons came in from Ukraine at a price range of Rs 10,148-Rs 10,210 ($170) per ton.

On the other hand, during May 2014, the entire material came in from Ukraine at a price of Rs 10,328 ($170) per ton whereas in April, the entire material also came in from Ukraine at a price range of Rs 10,328-Rs 10,551 ($170-$171) per ton.
