Anthracite coal imports via Mundra up 76.49% in April m-o-m

May 16: Anthracite coal imports via Mundra Port stood at 2,132 tons during April 2014, up 76.49% as compared to 1,208 tons in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the corresponding month of the previous year, anthracite coal imports via the port stood at 2,601 tons.

In April 2014, the entire material came in from Ukraine at a price range of Rs 10,328 - Rs 10,551 ($170-$171) per ton.

However, during March, 108 tons came in from China at Rs 21,108 ($340) per ton while the balance 1,100 tons came in from South Africa at Rs 10,348 ($168) per ton.
