October 24: Anthracite coal imports through the port of New Mangalore stood at 43,807 tons in September 2013, as per information available with ICMW.
This the first time in two years that anthracite coal has been imported through the port.
During September 2013, 42,750 tons were imported from Russia at Rs 7,656 ($121) per ton while 1,057 tons were imported from Ukraine at Rs 9,673 ($152) per ton.
