Anthracite coal imports via Paradip Port surge in Jan

February 10: Anthracite coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 240,192 in January 2014 against a volume of 26,651 tons reported in December 2013, showing a manifold increase month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In January, 232,492 tons arrived from Vietnam at a unit price of Rs 17,859 ($286) and 7,700 tons from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 10,565 ($170).

In December, however, the entire volume arrived from Russia in a price band of Rs 9,942 – Rs 10,293 ($158-$164) per ton.
