Anthracite coal imports via Paradip up 34.62% in Feb m-o-m

March 26: Anthracite coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 323,359 tons in February 2014 against 240,192 reported in January of the same calendar, showing an increase of 34.62% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In February, 76,585 tons arrived from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 7,385 ($117), 239,083 tons came in from Vietnam in a price range of Rs 17,859 – Rs 17,815 ($287-$283) per ton and the balance 7,691 arrived from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 11,781 ($187).

In January, 232,492 tons arrived from Vietnam at a unit price of Rs 17,859 ($286) and 7,700 tons from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 10,565 ($170).
