Anthracite coal imports via Vizag drop 64.26% m-o-m in May

June 11: Anthracite coal imports through the port of Vizag fell 64.26% to 5,449 tons in May, 2014 as against 15,248 tons in April 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In March, 2014, anthracite coal import through the port stood at 15,000 tons.

In May, the entire consignments arrived from Ukraine in a price band of Rs 7,907-Rs 11,497 ($130-$191) per ton.

In April, 9,700 tons arrived from South Africa in a band of Rs 6,792- Rs 6,815 ($112-$113) while the balance 5,548 tons came in from Ukraine in a range of Rs 7,907 – Rs 11,421 ($128-188).
