After a gap of two months, imports of anthracite coal resumed with 69 tons via V O Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in November 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), anthracite coal imports via this port stood at 220 tons against 100 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
The following table contains details of imports of anthracite via VO Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in FY 2014-15 and FY 2015-16:

In December 2015, out of the entire volume of 69 tons, 35 tons came from the UK at a price of Rs 26,338 ($392) per ton and 34 tons had come in from Vietnam at a price of Rs 15,808 ($237) per ton.
