January 6: After gap of two months, there were imports of 15,000 tons of anthracite coal via Krishnapatnam Port in the month of December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Incidentally, prior to this imports, anthracite coal was imported via this port in September 2015.
For the first nine month (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), anthracite imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 192,680 tons while 48,090 tons had been imported in the same period of last fiscal.

In December, entire volume of 15,000 tons came in from Russia at a price of Rs 5,440 ($82) per ton.
