Anthracite imports through Chennai Port in March 2016 were at 120 tons against 1,728 tons in February 2016, showing a sharp month-on-month rise of 93.05% albeit on a low base, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
Total anthracite imports material in fiscal 2015-16 stood at 12,773 tons against 6,926.05 tons recorded in the previous fiscal, rising a huge 84.42% year-on-year.
