December 16: Anthracite coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 44,000 tons during the month of November 2015, resulting in a marginal rise of 0.92% in comparison to 43,600 tons imported during the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, anthracite imports via this port stood at 149,970 tons during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, resulting in a sharp rise of 123.07% in comparison to 67,230 tons imported during the same period in 2014-15.
However, there were no imports of anthracite coal via the port in November 2014.

In November 2015, the total quantity came in from Russia at a price of Rs 5,416 ($81) per ton.
In October 2015, the total quantity came in from Russia at a price of Rs 5,569 ($84) per ton.
