April anthracite coal imports via Chennai down 33.41%

May 28: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port dropped 33.41% to 576 tons in April 2014 against 865 tons reported in March, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In April, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 18,631 - 26,604 ($308-436) per ton.

In March, 864 tons arrived from China in a band of Rs 18,438 - Rs 26,614 ($293-429) per ton while a single ton arrived from the US at a unit price of Rs 12,155 ($193).
