Asia, Africa coal imports from RBCT fall 32.17% in Apr m-o-m

May 27: Imports of coal from RBCT by African and Asian countries, excluding India, fell almost 32.17% to 1,831,570 tons in April 2014 compared to 2,700,426 tons in March 2014, revealed data available with ICMW.

Imports in April this year, however, fell by 24.79% compared to 2,435,304 tons recorded during the same month in 2013, the data revealed.

During 2014, total coal imports by African and Asian countries stood at 7,119,985 tons compared to 9,317,504 tons imported during 2013.

On the other hand, during FY2013-14, total imports stood at 34,271,332 tons compared to 33,206,594 tons imported in FY2012-13.
