Aug anthracite coal imports via Chennai up 42% m-o-m

September 24: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port increased by almost 42% to 987 tons in August 2014 against a volume of 696 tons in July, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In August, almost the entire amount arrived from China in a price band of Rs 19,451 – Rs 28,407 ($320-459) per ton.

In July, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 18,868 – Rs 28,225 ($312-465) per ton.
