Aug anthracite coal imports via Paradip drop 55% m-o-m

September 17: Anthracite coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 28,569 tons in August 2014 against a volume of 62,997 tons reported in July, showing a decrease of 54.65%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In August, a single consignment arrived from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 6,363 ($103).

In July, 35,810 tons arrived from Ukraine in a band of Rs 7,042 – Rs 9,540 ($117-157), 20,262 tons from the Russian federation at a unit price of Rs 9,622 ($160) and the balance 6,925 tons from Vietnam in a band of Rs 16,138 – Rs 17,359 ($269-286) per ton.
