Aug coal handling at Kamarajar Port down 12% m-o-m

September 10: Coal handling at Kamarajar (Ennore) Port stood at 1,827,000 tons during the month of August 2014, down 12.12% from 2,079,000 tons handled during July, 2014, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports’ Association (IPA).

In August 2013, coal handled at the port stood at 1,863,000 tons.

During the first five months (April-August) of 2014-15, total coal handled at the port stood at 9,933,000 tons against 9,011,000 tons in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
