Aug met coke imports via New Mangalore fall 44%

September 22: Met coke imports via New Mangalore Port fell 44.44% during August 2014 to 27,500 tons from 49,500 tons imported in July, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In August 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at 37,455 tons.
Total imports of met coke through New Mangalore Port in April-August, 2014-15 stood at 232,006 tons against 190,257 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

In August 2014, the entire material came from China at a price of Rs 12,660 ($209) per ton whereas during July 2014, the entire quantity came in from China at a price of Rs 13,004 ($216) per ton.
