AURIZON Holdings posted record coal volumes in the December 2013 quarter, with iron ore volumes also lifting.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Aurizon said its total coal volumes were 56.2 million tonnes in the three months to December, an 11 per cent lift on the 50.8 million tonnes in the previous corresponding period.
Iron ore volumes rose 30 per cent to 7.8 million tonnes in the quarter, compared with six million in the prior corresponding period.
The share price fell slightly to $5.01 at midday.
