Australia mayor airs Yarragon coal search worries

The Mayor of Baw Baw Shire, Murray Cook, says he is concerned about coal exploration slated for the township of Yarragon.
Green Power Energy Australia has confirmed it plans to drill a hole and explore for coal on a Yarragon man's property.
The chief executive of the company, John Watts, says residents do not have anything to be concerned about at the moment.
Councillor Murray Cook says he is concerned by the plans but he will wait until the council prepares a report on mining issues to express his opinions.
"Yes, I think the operational word there is yet, and ... council has had briefings on coal seam gas drilling and we're waiting on a report and out of that debate will come a council decision and hopefully that reflects the community attitude toward it," he said.
