December 24: Spot prices of Australian steam coals firmed up further on December 23 amidst a lacklustre trend before the holidays even as a weakness was witnessed in select grades of Indonesian coal during the day, market sources said.
While Australian steam coal prices firmed up by $0.25 per ton, Indonesian 5,000 Kcal/kg and 3,800 Kcal/kg softened by $0.20 per ton each.
South African prices remained largely unchanged amidst low interest.
