BCCL extends date for tender on Amlabad UG block

September 11: Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) has extended the date for submission of bids for the development of Amlabad underground mines and extraction of coal there from.
As per the revised schedule, the last date for receipt of tender is October 7. The tenders will be opened on October 8, 2013.
According to the tender document, the work encompasses the development of Amlabad underground mines and extraction of coal from virgin and remnant areas through existing entries and/or additional drifts, exploitation of the virgin/developed seams by mass production technology package for a minimum guaranteed production of 3.6 million tons of coal during commercial production of nine years on a turnkey basis.
The work includes additional exploration (if desired so by the contractor), preparation of the mining plan, detailed project report and EMP (environment clearance), obtaining all necessary approvals from concerned authorities and restoring shaft entries, additional drifts/shafts deepening and widening etc.
