BCCL floats global NIT for development of Bhowra North UG mine

July 15: Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has floated a global notice inviting tender (NIT) for development of Bhowra North UG mine, Eastern Jharia Area by mass production technology package for minimum guaranteed production of 4.50 million tons (mt) of coal during 9 APP on turnkey basis.
Work includes additional exploration (if desired) so by the contractor, preparation of detailed mining plan, detailed project report and EMP, obtaining approvals from concerned authorities.
Interested parties can submit their bids till November 18, 2013 up to 3.30 pm while the bids will open on the following day at 4 pm.
ICMW had earlier reported that, CIL expects about 60-70 mt of additional production through MDO route during the current Five Year Plan that will come to an end in 2016-17.
