BCCL floats tenders for Patherdih II, Bhojudih washeries

December 3: Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) has floated tenders for setting up two new washeries at Patherdih and Bhojudih coal blocks, a company source told ICMW.

"Tenders for Patherdih II and Bhojudih washery projects have been floated and bids received," the source said.

Patherdih II will be a coking coal washery with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons per annum (mtpa), while Bhojudih will deal with non-linked washery (NLW) grade coal and have a capacity of 2 mtpa, he said.

The tender process for both the washeries is expected to be completed by February 2014, he said, adding that work for the same will start in 2014-15.
