BCCL signs contract with ACB India for Dahibari
30 Dec 2013
December 30: After a prolonged delay, Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) has signed the contract agreement with ACB (India) Ltd for the 1.6 million tons of coal from the Dahibari washery project, on December 28, a company source told ICMW.
"The contract was finally signed on December 28. Accordingly, we expect ACB India to start the project work at once," the source said.
The BCCL board had approved the award of the tender to the winning bid of ABC (India) in January 2013. Subsequently, the Gurgaon-based coal beneficiation company received the letter of intimation from BCCL in February 2013.
However, the time taken for getting the mandatory clearance from the Coal India Ltd (CIL) board delayed the signing of the agreement.
Five companies were in the fray for the Dahibari coal washery project for which a tender was floated last year.
