Belarus to assist Indian coal miners

Belarus is ready to assist Indian companies in the mechanisation of coal mines to increase oil production in foreign countries said Sergei Trotsyuk, First Secretary, Embassy of Belarus, New Delhi here on Saturday.
Addressing media persons during an event, Mr. Trotsyuk mentioned that there are five more Memorandums of Understandings (MoU) that would be signed with Indian in the coming days. “Also, the seventh session of inter-government talks will be held soon,” he mentioned, and added that the first official visit of the Indian President to Belarus in June was of significance to both the countries.
The event was an interactive session between a delegation from Belarus comprising Mr. Trotsyuk, Natallia N. Usava, vice-dean, Gomel State Medical University and prospective students and their parents from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Both the First Secretary and Ms. Usava talked about career prospects and medical education in Belarus. The programme was conducted by Medico Abroad.
The event also featured discussions on the admission process, awareness on the kind of medical imparted in the Eastern European country. Ms. Usava also stated that the Gomel State Medical University has tie-ups with Japanese institutions to conduct regular sessions for the benefit of its students, apart from having all the required medical facilities for students.
V. Rajaram, managing partner, Medico Abroad, said that given the kind of demand and cost of medical education existing in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Belarus is a good option for students. “So far about 150 students have passed out from Belarus after completing their medical education,” he mentioned. Ms. Usava also added that foreign students studying in the university will be provided accommodation for their convenience.
