Bhushan Power to set up 3 new washeries for DRI plant

December 10: Bhushan Power & Steel Limited, a Delhi-based integrated steel manufacturer, has planned to set up three new beneficiation units for its sponge iron plant in Odisha.

The company would set up a coal washing plant, a coal crushing and screening plant as well as a char washing unit at its sponge iron facility at Jharsuguda, sources told ICMW.

The coal washing plant would have a capacity of 400 tons per hour (tph), while the capacity at the char washing unit would be 200 tph, they said.

The total investment earmarked for the three units is around Rs 150 crore, they added.
