August 28: Continued uncertainty over various factors, including weak demand from India, led to a mixed trend in Indonesian coal prices’ bids and offers from brokerage firms.
Marex Spectron, on August 28, had bids and offers for 5,000 Kcal/kg GAR coal from Single Mine Indonesian coal of $56.00 and $57.50, down from $57.50 and $58.00 per ton on August 19.
Its offer for 3,800 Kcal/kg GAR material also fell to $34.25 on August 28 from $35.50 per ton on August 19, reflecting weak demand from India.
