Brokerage firm looking for offers for supply to China

November 18: A leading brokerage firm, on November 18, said it is looking for offers for supply of 130,000 tons of Australian origin steam coal (5,500 Kcal/kg NAR) for supply in December or the first half of January.

"Our bid is $80.50 CFR Liuheng for arrival in December or first half of January and we need offers," an official of the firm said.

However, for February 2014 arrival, the brokerage has offer at $80.75 per ton CFR and bid of $80.00 per ton CFR Liuheng for similar parcel size.

Lack of offer for December or arrival in the first half of January indicates some kind of short supply for 5,500 Kcal material for loading in November or early December, industry sources said.
