September 19: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 1 said that bulk tenders have been floated for setting up super-critical power plants in the country.
In the 13th Five-Year Plan (2017-18 to 2021-22), India will only set up super-critical units, Singh said while laying the foundation stone of a power plant in Chattisgarh.
It would be mandatory for companies to procure equipment from Indian companies for such supercritical power plants, the Prime Minister added.
