CBI lodges fresh FIR against block allotment to JSPL

October 28: Jindal Steel Limited, on October 27 said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a fresh first information report (FIR) against the company regarding the coal block allocation in Chhattisgarh

In a filing to the BSE, the company said, "We wish to inform that the CBI has, based on the preliminary enquiry initiated by it on directions from Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), registered an FIR in connection with the allotment of coal block in Chhattisgarh to the company.”

JSPL, however, said all its actions were in keeping with the legal framework of the country and that it complied with the law in letter and in spirit.

“JSPL continues to co-operate with all the authorities in a responsive manner," the company said in the filing.
