CIL Chairman’s resignation accepted: Official

June 18: The resignation of S Narsing Rao as Chairman of Coal India Ltd (CIL) has been accepted by the Ministry of Coal, an official of the company told ICMW.

“The resignation has been accepted and the formalities related to communication of the move are going on,” the official said.

“It has not yet been formalised as to who will be officiating chairman till a new person is appointed for the post,” the official added.

The post of Chairman is likely to remain vacant for at least 5-6 months.
