CIL Dec washed coking coal output down 12.44% y-o-y

January 27: Washed coking coal production by Coal India limited for the month of December 2014 stood at 0.19 million tons (mt), down 12.44% from 0.217 mt produced in the same month of 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

On a month-on-month basis, CIL’s washed coking coal production in December fell from 0.197 mt in November 2014, data revealed.

CIL’s washed coking coal output for the month of December, however, was down from the targeted 0.234 mt. Annual target for washed coking coal production in CIL is set at 2.69 mt for 2014-15.

In the April-December period of the current financial year of 2014-15, CIL’s washed coking coal production stood at 1.554 mt, slightly down from 1.759 mt recorded in the same period of the last fiscal (2013-14).
