CIL FY15 washed coking coal output down 13% y-o-y

April 28: Washed coking coal production by Coal India Limited (CIL) for 2014-15 dropped 13.20% to 2.11 million tons (mt) from 2.43 mt in the previous fiscal, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The annual target for washed coking coal production in CIL was set at 2.69 mt for 2014-15, which means production during the fiscal by CIL was 0.58 mt below the target.
For the month of March washed coking coal production by the state-owned miner stood at 0.219 mt, down 4.78% from 0.230 mt same month a year ago.
On a month-on-month basis, CIL’s washed coking coal production in March rose from 0.175 mt in February 2015, data revealed.
CIL’s washed coking coal output for the month of March was down from the targeted 0.238 mt.
