CIL expects to meet FY15 output, off-take targets

August 14: Coal India Ltd (CIL), which has been unable to achieve its physical performance targets in recent years, hopes to achieve its production and off-take targets of 512 million tons (mt) and 525 mt, respectively, set for 2014-15 (FY15).
“The company is gearing up to meet these challenging targets…. With new and expansion projects expected to contribute during the year, our optimistic endeavour is to meet the targets,” the company said in its annual report for the year 2013-14.
To achieve the feat, the company would focus on major thrust areas such as project management and implementation, technology and quality and customer satisfaction, it added.
CIL achieved total production of 462.4 mt, about 96% of its annual target, and off-take of 471.5 mt, which is about 96% of its annual target, in 2013-14.
