CIL may finish phase II drilling in Mozambique by March

February 13: Coal India Ltd (CIL), which had started exploration drilling at its two blocks in Mozambique last year, expects to finish phase II drilling of 400,00 metres by end-March, 2014, a senior official told ICMW.
"We have already completed 28,000 meters of drilling and touching 30,000 metres. We are confident that by March we will finish phase II drilling of 40,000 metres," CIL's Director (Technical) N Kumar said.
Asked what would be the next action plan, Kumar said, "We are contemplating what to do. If further drilling is required after completing 40000 metres, we will do so."
