November 26: The Federation of Coal Industry Retired Employees Association, an umbrella body of several retired employees of Coal India Ltd (CIL) and its subsidiaries, are contemplating a plan to move court against alleged anomalies in the pension scheme offered by the coal behemoth.
“There are various anomalies in the pension scheme. We tried to bring those to the attention of the management, but to no avail,” a spokesperson for the Federation told ICMW.
He said that in a number of cases, there are huge discrepancies between pensions received by the retired executives. Also, in many cases, there has been no increase in the payment despite provisions for regular revisions.
“As we failed to receive any response from the management, we plan to move court,” he said.
