CIL’s Aug washed coking coal output up 5.03% m-o-m

September 28: Washed coking coal production by Coal India Limited (CIL) in August 2015 stood at 0.167 million tons (mt) compared to 0.159 mt seen in July 2015, registering a rise of 5.03% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In August 2015, washed coking coal production by the coal behemoth increased 19.28% from 0.140 mt recorded in the same month a year ago (August 2014).
CIL’s washed coking coal output target for the month of August was 105.03% of 0.159 mt set for the month.
Washed coking coal production by Coal India Limited (CIL) in the first five months (April-July) of the current fiscal (2015-16) stood at 0.796 mt against 0.782 mt seen in the same period of the previous fiscal, registering an increase of 1.79%.
The annual washed coking coal production target by CIL is at 2.262 mt.
