CIL’s August off-take increases 6.27% y-o-y

September 2: Coal India Limited (CIL), on September 2, said its off-take during August 2014 increased compared to the level reported in August 2013 while on a month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take was slightly lower compared to that in July 2014.
Off-take in August 2014 stood at 37.30 million tons (mt), up 6.27% from 35.10 mt produced in August 2013, according to provisional data released by the company.
On month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take fell slightly by 1.95% from 38.04 mt produced in July 2014.
During April-August of 2014-15, off-take by the world’s largest coal miner stood at 194.89 mt, up 3.35% over 188.57 mt reported in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
For the current financial year, the company has set an off-take target of 520.00 mt.
CIL’s off-take targets for April-July, 2014 were at 209.26 mt.
According to available data, the company’s actual off–take during August 2014 was 99% of the target of 37.83 mt.
