CIL’s February off-take drops marginally y-o-y

March 2: Coal India Limited (CIL), on March 2, said its off-take during February 2015 increased compared to the level reported in February 2014 though it fell slightly from that of January 2015.
Off-take levels in February 2015 stood at 43.17 million tons (mt), up 6.62% from 40.49 mt in February 2014, according to provisional data released by the company.
However, on a month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take fell slightly from 44.09 mt in January 2015.
During April-February, 2014-15, off-take by the world’s largest coal miner stood at 441.85 mt, up 3.61% over 426.44 mt reported in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
For the current financial year, the company has set an off-take target of 520.00 mt.
CIL’s off-take targets for April-February, 2014-15 were at 469.92 mt.
According to available data, the company’s actual off–take during February 2015 was 100% of the target of 43.34 mt.
