CIL’s Jan washed coking coal output up 5% m-o-m

After a flat growth last month, washed coking coal production by Coal India Limited (CIL) in January 2016 increased by 5.26% on a month-on-month basis to 0.20 million tons (mt) from 0.19 mt produced in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The production in January this year was 25% higher compared to 0.16 mt produced in January 2015, the data revealed.
Washed coking coal production by CIL during the first 10 months (April-January) of 2015-16 stood at 1.75 mt, slightly higher than 1.72 mt reported during the same period of the previous financial year.
The annual washed coking coal production target of CIL is 2.26 mt.
