CIL’s OMS rises marginally in 2012-13

August 29: The output per manshift (OMS) of Coal India Ltd (CIL) increased marginally to 5.32 tons in 2012-13 from 4.89 tons in 2011-12 on sharp improvement in OMS from opencast mines, the company said in its annual report for 2012-13.
The OMS of opencast increased to 11.48 tons in 2012-13 from 10.40 tons in 2011-12 whereas OMS from underground mines increased to 0.77 tons from 0.75 tons in 2011-12, it said.
